Sleep Apnea Patient, Donna Graham says, “I didn’t realize that I had completely quit dreaming.”
Little did Donna graham know at the time, she was dealing with mild sleep apnea.
Graham says, “I was constantly tired and feeling like my life was oppressed.”
Oppressed for about 5 years, Doctor Carmel Joseph with Doctors Hospital says losing sleep for anyone isn’t safe.
“We are an extremely sleep deprived society at this point”, says Dr. Joseph.
Dr. Joseph says even though this one hour of sleep can affect us, our bodies can get adjusted to the time change within 72 hours.
Here’s a few tips of how you can get a better night’s rest …
1) TURN OFF THE ELECTRONICS
2) TAKE A WARM BATH/SHOWER BEFORE BED
3) DON’T DRINK ANY CARBONATED LIQUIDS OR ALCOHOL
4) SLEEP AN HOUR EARLIER THAN NORMAL
Meanwhile patients like Donna who was already dealing with sleep deprivation can now get a good night’s rest, since she’s been diagnosed the problem has gone away. But that doesn’t stop the feeling that she will still lose an hour of sleep but at least now she can finally dream…
