Courtney Elledge is a Digital Journalist at WJBF News Channel 6.
Courtney grew up in the mountains of east Tennessee. Courtney and her twin sister attended their first SEC football game at the age of three. From then on…she became a University of Tennessee Volunteers fan 😉 She accomplished her first dream In May of 2011, when she graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Journalism Electronic Media . Courtney was a reporter and executive producer at her college television stations: The Volunteer Channel and UT Today.
After graduation, Courtney took her savings and moved to New York City. The city gave her the opportunity to grow as a journalist. She got to free-lance and cover the Occupy Wall Street movement. She also attended New York Film Academy. The academy helped her become more comfortable in front of the camera, and allowed her to be cast in a few short films. Elledge also took on her fourth reporter internship at News 12 Long Island.
In March of 2012, she accomplished her second dream when she became a Digital Journalist for WJBF News Channel 6. Courtney has learned that with hard work, commitment, and passion, your dreams can come true.
In her free time she likes to explore the CSRA, play with her cat, Marty Mcfly, catch up with friends, run, blog, and try new foods.
Courtney would love to hear from you! Feel free to contact her with story ideas or comments at firstname.lastname@example.org.
