Positive Forces Making A Difference For Brain Cancer Patients

By Marlena Wilson

For Nina McCallie – a senior at Westminster High School – and Susan Jernigan, the battle against brain cancer is personal. McCallie saw her uncle battle the disease while Jernigan did the same with her husband. Both men are now thankfully in remission, but the fight is far from over. In honor of her uncle, McCallie is organizing a bicycle ride and walk called Breakaway from Brain Cancer. The event is geared to raise money and awareness for the disease, and all money raised stays right here in the CSRA, benefitting patients at the Georgia Regents University Cancer Center.

McCallie and Jernigan each share their personal stories when they sit down with Brad Means, and they share how you can participate in the Breakaway From Brain Cancer Event.
