The number of deaths and injuries from Monday afternoon's explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon have now risen.
According to officials, Boston area hospitals have received 144 patients who sustained injuries in the terror attack, according to the latest CNN tally.
Boston Medical Center: 20
Massachusetts General Hospital: 29
Tufts Medical Center: 12
Brigham and Women's Hospital: 31 (+3 from previous update)
Carney Hospital: At least 4
Boston Children's Hospital: 8
St. Elizabeth's Medical Center: 18
Newton-Wellesley Hospital: 1
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center: 21
Of the 144 injured, at least 17 are in critical condition, at least 25 are in serious condition, and at least 8 are children.
In addition, Boston police have confirmed 3 fatalities.
