An Augusta man has been arrested on drug charges after a Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFACS) worker notified Richmond County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division investigators.
Thursday, an investigator received a complaint from the DFACS worker in reference to narcotics being sold and stored at 603 Debbie Drive, in Augusta.
Upon arrival at the residence at approximately 3:00 p.m. thursday, Narcotics Division investigators made contact with the occupants of the residence, 34-year-old Naun Quintana Padilla, and his wife. During the investigators' interview, Padilla stated that he had approximately 3 ounces of crystal methamphetamine in the residence. During a consent search, approximately 1336.6 grams was located in the master bedroom, which belongs to Padilla. Approximately 10.0 grams of marijuana and 2 firearms were also located in the master bedroom. Padilla claimed ownership of the items located.
Padilla was also wanted in Taliaferro County on outstanding drug charges. He was arrested and booked into the Richmond County Jail on the following charges:
1 felony count Trafficking Methamphetamine
1 felony count Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
1 misdemeanor count Possession of Marijuana
