Two local boys are grateful for the community's support. A benefit was held Thursday night to honor the victim of a deadly plane crash in Thomson.

Heidi McCorkle died in a February plane crash that tragically claimed the lives of several employees of The Vein Guys. Two brothers, 12-year old Cannon and 9-year old Chance Cooper held a fundraiser at Red Wing Roller Way to help the family.

Heidi McCorkle left behind two young sons, Shawn and Josh. Money raised from the event will be used for her sons living expenses and set up a college fund.

Organizers say they hope to do more events like these in the future.
