A violent attack on Augusta Riverwalk, followed by footage of a downtown brawl, has many people wondering if it is safe to venture to downtown Augusta. We look back at the recent events that have made headlines across the CSRA and sit down to talk with Margaret Woodard, the Executive Director of Augusta's Downtown Development Authority. She works for the city but also lives downtown. She gives her take on if she thinks downtown is a safe place to live and play. She also shares the plan the city is putting in place to keep patrons of downtown safe.
