Savannah River Remediation (SRR), the liquid waste contractor at the Savannah River Site (SRS), recently awarded seven SRR Family Scholarships to local graduates, all of whom are children of SRR employees.
At a reception on May 16th, the graduates each received scholarships of $3,000. They were selected on the basis of general ability, leadership, scholastic assessments and achievement.
Dave Olson, SRR President and Project Manager, commended the students for their accomplishments and recognized their parents at the reception.
“The SRR Family Scholarship program is how we show our appreciation for both education and the SRR family,” said Olson. “It is my hope the students and their families know how much we value their hard work.”
