A man of unshakable faith in Jesus Christ, Barry will be forever remembered for his love for others and humble service to those in need.
“Barry was a man who, in his thirty years of service, had a single focus: to feed the hungry. He has been a humble servant and an inspirational mentor to me and the staff,” said Golden Harvest's Executive Director Travis McNeal. “I have admired his unswerving commitment to Jesus and will forever remember him for his infectious smile, dedicated work ethic and kind-hearted spirit. He truly made an impact upon my life and made a lasting impression upon numerous people throughout our community.”
Joining Golden Harvest in its second year of operation, Barry has touched countless lives while spending the last 30 years distributing more than 200 million pounds of food to the hungry. In his thirty years, Barry helped establish feeding programs and relationships with thousands of non-profit agencies in Golden Harvest's 30 county service area. He was instrumental in the establishment of an Aiken Warehouse in 1985 and served as the Director of Aiken Operations for some time as well.
