Fort Gordon to Participate in Memorial Day Observances

The Fort Gordon band, color guard and
military units will take part in a parade in Aiken, South Carolina May 25.  The parade will start at one pm Saturday on
Park Avenue and Marlboro Streets.  Command
Sergeant Major Ronald Pflieger will be the parade marshal.

On Monday, May 27, the Fort Gordon Garrison
Commander, Colonel Robert Barker will speak at the Georgia War Nursing
Home.  The Memorial Day observance starts
Monday at 9 AM.

Also on Monday, a ceremony will be held at
the All Wars Monument at fourth and Broad Street in downtown Augusta. The
ceremony gets underway at eleven am.  The
guest speaker will be Brigadier General John Morrison, commanding general,
seventh signal command.
