If you're headed to the lake or river,  don't forget about Georgia's new boating laws.

This Memorial Day marks the first holiday where that law goes into effect.

The new legal blood-alcohol limit is the same as if you were driving a car — it's now point 0-8 instead of 1 point 0

The new B-U-I law also toughens penalties if you are caught.

DNR says if you plan to mix boating and drinking, have a designated driver on the water.

Now – kids 13 and under will have to wear life jackets, and children will have to have an adult on board with them if they're riding a jet ski.
