Dust off you dancing shoes and get ready for the third annual Dancing With the Augusta Stars!

 The lively and exciting benefit for the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter, takes place Friday, June 7th at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta.

Reinventing the popular ABC show, “Dancing with the Stars”, this fundraising event comprises of 10 local celebrity dancers paired with 10 professional dancers, all raising funds by gaining votes! Then the dancers come together to compete in a one night gala dance competition.

Doors open at 6pm, cocktails and dinner begin at 7pm, followed by the Dancing Stars of Augusta Program. Click here for ticket information.

Guests and supporters will have the opportunity to 'vote' for their favorite couple both in the weeks leading up to the event and at the event itself. Each dollar raised is a vote.

The People's Choice Winner will be awarded to the couple with the most votes by the end of the evening. A celebrity panel of judges will select the Judge's Winner. Visit your favorite dancer's page and vote online to help them meet their goal and raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association.

Judges for the evening are Ron Jones, Austin Rhodes and Barbara Coleman.

Professional dancer and instructor Ron Jones is a founding member of the Greater Augusta Dance Coalition, founding board member of the Columbia County Arts Council and the Artistic Director of the Columbia County Ballet.

Radio talk show host Austin Rhodes is no stranger to the Dancing Stars of Augusta event. Austin was in the first year's line-up of Celebrity Dancers in 2011, and Host for the 2012 event.

Dr. Barbara Coleman is Associate Dean and Professor of Marketing in the Hull College of Business at Georgia Regents University. She also serves on the boards of several local nonprofits including the Family Y and the Morris Museum.
