Bridgestone’s Aiken County Passenger Tire Plant Partially Shut Down Due To Flooding

Bridgestone Americas' Aiken County plant experienced some flooding as a result of Sunday night's heavy rainfall, shutting down some plant operations.

The company issued the follwing statement about the partial shutdown:

“As a result of heavy rains in the area, the Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations passenger tire plant in Aiken County, SC experienced some flooding. While a number of processes continue to operate normally, flooding in the plant has caused a shutdown of certain operations. Clean-up is well underway, and we expect to be back to full production by end of day, Monday, June 3.”
