An Augusta businessman doesn't let one loss
keep him from trying again.  Rick Allen announced Tuesday that he will run
for Congress in Georgia's 12th District.  In 2012, Allen lost in a runoff race with
republican Lee Anderson.  Anderson then
lost in the November general election to incumbent Congressman John Barrow.

In a press release Tuesday, Allen criticized
Congressman Barrow, claiming Barrow “believes in the centralized,
bureaucratic model of national big government”.  In the release,  Allen went on to explain why he is running
for Congress, saying he had a chance to live the American dream and wants
“our children and grandchildren to have the same opportunity.”

You can find out more about Rick Allen's
campaign at a new web site at http://www.rickwallen.com. ; Allen will have more than a year to convince voters he is the right candidate for the job.  The midterm election will be held in November of 2014.  Allen will  first have to get his name on the ballot by defeating any republican challengers in a primary election.
