Only two public meetings are left for the Atlanta to Charlotte high speed rail service this week, and your input is wanted.

According to the Georgia DOT, Augusta is included in 2 of 6 possible routes between Atlanta and Charlotte. One of those routes is the CSX right-of-way between Atlanta and Augusta. The other is the Norfolk Southern right-of-way between Augusta and Charlotte.

A public meeting will be held Wednesday night in Greer, South Carolina from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and another public meeting will be held Thursday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Service Development Plan won't be finalized until 2015. For more information, click here.
