It's is a rarity for Augusta Commissioners…a request for a vote of “no confidence” on Augusta Law Department attorney Andrew MacKenzie.
Commissioner Bill Lockett put the item on the agenda, but it's something other Commissioners don't understand.
“I don't have a problem with our attorney. Limited on his staff, understaffed, but he's taking care of this county best he can,” says Commissioner Wayne Guilfoyle.
“Do you know why Commissioner Lockett, has lost faith in him?” we asked Guilfoyle. “Probably because Andrew isn't telling him what he wants to hear,” he says.
City leaders will take up the “no confidence” vote Tuesday.
Commissioner Lockett did not respond to our phone calls or emails.
