A controversial Augusta consulting management firm will stay on the job.
Augusta Commissioners tonight approving a twenty month contract extension for Henry International to manage Augusta sales tax construction projects like the Municipal building.
Before the vote the company agreed to cut its fee to one point four million dollars a reduction of nearly 190 thousand dollars.
“They made the concessions and came back with an amenable proposal it's time to put it behind us and move forward and continue with the projects we have on the table this is what it's about completing the projects doing it on time and saving money,” says Mayor Pro-Tem Corey Johnson.Company officials defended their practice of providing campaign contributions and donations to commissioners as helping the community.
Heery also provided commissioners with tickets to their sky box for Falcons games and Braves Tickets.
