An Augusta businessman is blasting the city bidding process for the work at the Municipal building.
Former School board member A.K has Hasan has sent a letter to commissioners about the treatment he says he and his partner-company received at a pre bid meeting for electrical work at the Municipal building.
Hasan says the project manager for Turner Construction the made “biased, prejudicial and damning statements” against his company, and because of that Hasan says he's out of the bidding process.
“That is correct because it only makes sense once you remove your head from the lions mouth because he's resting with panting breathe you don't go stick your head back in, said Hasan.
“They ran you off basically, we said to Hasan.
“Exactly,” he said.
Hasan is scheduled to air his complaints about Turner Construction at Thursday's commission meeting.
He wants commissioners to investigate the incident.
