A flash flood watch remains in effect for several CSRA counties until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
The latest information from the National Weather Service still indicates our July 4th holiday will be a wet and stormy one, as rain will likely persist on and off all day.
If you have any plans, Columbia County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) director Pam Tucker urges CSRA residents to stay on top of the weather.
Besides the risk of heavy rain and flooding, some storms will produce frequent lightning, one of the leading causes of permanent injury. Now would be a good time to make alternate holiday plans, preferably indoors.
