Augusta city leaders will get on the bus after the holiday weekend.
Commissioners will debate Monday about hiring McDonald Transit Services to run the city bus system.
Mobility Transit, hired in 2011, is out at the the end of this month.
Supporters say, before the city privatized the buses, riders had a lot of complaints.
“If you look at the reasons when it was originally in house, [a] year and a half ago, we had a lot of problems. Mobility came in, the problems actually subsided, even though they did have start up company…does have problems from time to time. Every time something came up, they responded and overcame it,” says Augusta Commissioner, Wayne Guilfoyle.
