Career Expo Set For July 25th In Augusta

Career Expo in Augusta on June 25

The Greater Augusta Employer Committee and the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will sponsor a career expo Thursday, July 25th. The expo will be held from 1-4 p.m. in the Christenberry Field House at Georgia Regents University, located at 3109 Wrightsboro Road.

The expo will feature about 50 employers, educational institutions and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. The employers will be hiring or discussing current and future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.

Those expected to participate in the expo include: Acrux, American General Life, Art Institute of Atlanta, Augusta Staffing Associates, Automation Technologies, Inc. (ATI),  Career Personnel, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, DeVry University, East Central Regional Hospital, FPL Food, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Georgia Military College, Georgia Regents University, Goodwill Works, Hagler Systems, Kelly Services, LNH Realty, Lowe's, McKenzie Tank Lines, Magic Shrink Wraps, Rural Sourcing, Primerica, Shaw, Sitel, Southern Company, Southern Weslyan University  and University of Phoenix.
