Today, a man accused of killing 3 family members will go before a judge. WJBF News Channel 6's Barclay Bishop has the latest.
Ryan Jones is accused of
shooting his brother, father, and mother in their home and then burning their
bodies in a Hephzibah field back in May.
Tuesday morning he will be
before Judge Carlisle Overstreet where he will receive his formal charges. The state of Georgia is seeking the death
penalty in this triple murder case.
Jones is facing 3 counts each of felony and malice murder, as well as possession
of a knife during the commission of a crime.
According to documents received
from the District Attorney's office, the killings are described as outrageously
vile and inhumane. The document also
reveals a possible motive, financial gain.
Jones is currently being held in the Richmond County Detention Center
where he will remain until his hearing which will be held at 11 this
