Although Thanksgiving is still more than a week away…. some shoppers in Akron, Ohio are already camping out to be first in line for the deals at a Best Buy.
According to Best Buy's website, the chapel hill location in akron “Black Friday” will begin at 6 p-m on “Brown Thursday.”
A Thanksgiving food drive has employees at an Ohio Walmart up in arms ad making headlines.
All because employees are donating food….not to the company, but to co-workers in need.
The shift manager says this is the second year for the holiday food drive, and it shows the store is a family that cares.
The union group claims the food drive proves Walmart isn't paying workers enough…and some shoppers agree.
The store isn't planning to discontinue the food drive, even if it has served up controversy.
They'll provide 12 to 15 turkeys to employees in need as part of the food drive….and will do another drive around christmas.
If you're younger than 21, it's illegal for you to buy tobacco….in New York.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a law making it illegal, the bill also covers electronic cigarettes.
Bloomberg says raising the legal purchase age from 18 to 21 “will help prevent another generation from the ill health and shorter life expectancy that comes with smoking.”
The new law takes effect in six months.
Overweight pilots and air traffic controllers will have to see the doctor before they're certified.
Doctors with the FAA say sleep apnea is almost universal in obese people, and they don't want their most crucial workers getting sleepy on the job.
Controllers who have a body mass index over 40 and a neck circumference of 17 inches or more will be evaluated by a sleep specialist.
