Time for what’s trending at 5:30…

 Kids all over the world will try to catch a glimpse of Santa himself next week.
  But some children at an Oregon hospital got to see the big guy right outside their windows.
   A special cleaning crew dressed as Santa and two elves and washed windows while spreading a bit of holiday cheer.
  Workers said they’re happy to do anything to brighten up the season for the kids who are stuck in a hospital for the holidays.

  KISS is among this year’s inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
  Artists are eligible for the prestigious award 25 years after the release of their first recording.
  Also being inducted — Cat Stevens, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oats, Linda Ronstadt and Nirvana.
  The induction ceremony will take place in April in New York City… Tickets for that go on sale next month.

In the news business, we’re always working to tell you the truth about stories.
  But as far as the professions that are the least honest? — car salesmen, lobbyists and politicians are all in the running.
  A new poll found that only 8% of Americans rate Congress as having high or very high honesty and ethical standards.
  Lobbyists and car salespeople polled at 6 and 9%
 Only 47% of people found clergies to be honest.

If you think drivers in South Carolina are bad, well, you are Not imagining it.
  The Palmetto state ranked second in a survey of the worst states in America.
  Researchers based findings on car fatalities, citations, D-U-I’s and other car problems.
 Louisiana drivers claim the top spot.
  Behind South Carolina are Mississippi, Texas and Alabama.
