Millions of people watched the superbowl and the half time performance Sunday night, and many of them noticed that the Red Hot Chilli Peppers didn’t have their instruments plugged in. Now the band is confirming that it wasn’t a completely live performance.
The Peppers’ bassist “Flea” says they don’t usually mime performances, but the NFL said they had to do it that way.
They pre-recorded the instruments for their song “Give it Away, ” but had live vocals.
The band thanked the NFL for letting them participate.

Another singer may be headed to Washington.
Former American Idol Star, Clay Aiken, is running for Congress in North Carolina.
The democratic candidate says partisanship is so prevalent in Washington…..He wants to reach across the party lines and work with congress members to come up with workable solutions for America.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senator John McCain both boxed when they were younger.
Now they are coming together, along with boxing organizations and leaders of the Cleveland Clinic to announce funding and research.
Studies show that some head injuries lead to a higher risk of developing long-term conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s Disease and Depression.

George Zimmerman and DMX might have to worry about some of those problems, because they will be boxing each other for charity.
The former neighborhood watch captain and the hip-hop star will face off for 3 rounds sometime in the coming weeks.
The exact time and location will be revealed in a press conference in Philadelphia next week.
The fight promoter said he got over 15 thousand emails asking for a chance to get in the ring with Zimmerman.
The celebrity boxing match was Zimmerman’s idea.
