You ever hear the phrase, You should give someone their flowers while they are still living? In this Black History Moment, we want to highlight actor, comedian, and activist, Bill Cosby.

Mr. Cosby began his career as a stand up performer doing comedy shows in various clubs. In the 1960’s, he landed a starring role in the action show, I Spy, and then he starred in his own sitcom, THE BILL COSBY SHOW.

Mr. Cosby is also known for his cartoon comedy series, Fat Albert and The Cosby Kids. Mr. Cosby has produced and starred in a number of sitcoms including The Cosby Show, which had 8 seasons from 1984 to 1992. It was the number one show for 5 straight years.

Mr. Cosby is a big advocate for education, and in 2000, he was included in a book titled “THE 100 GREATEST AFRICAN AMERICANS.”

It has been reported that Mr. Cosby will be making a comeback to our television screens.

Remember, Black History is America’s History.
