Richmond County parents, students and school employees will have their first public opportunity to meet with the new superintendent Monday evening.
Dr. Angela Pringle will host the first of eight “listening sessions” at 6 p.m. at the Academy of Richmond County High School.
“Communities and families know best what they want for their community,” Dr. Pringle said. “And we as a district office have to develop a service mindset.”
Since before she was officially sworn in as superintendent last month, Dr. Pringle has emphasized the importance of communication with everyone involved in the school district.
“We’re here to lead, but we’re also here to listen, and to meet their wishes and desires.”
The public meeting will help determine next year’s school budget and planning priorities.
“Oftentimes when you’re not in a community every day and every minute, you miss some things,” Dr. Pringle said. “So I’m hoping to see what we missed, and also learn more about what’s working well.”
