Allendale-Fairfax’s Keishanda Taylor has been a starter on the school’s softball team since 9th grade and was a captain on the cheerleading squad. What is even more impressive is the fact Taylor will graduate a valedictorian this spring.
“I work hard at something,” Taylor said. “When I set my mind to it, I do it. I try to go above and beyond what everyone else is doing. People do enough to get by, but I try to go above and beyond.”
“She’s one of our best players when it comes to GPA,” Taylor’s softball coach, Austin Jeffries, said. “So the input is there on the field and the output is there in the classroom.”
And speaking of going above and beyond the call of duty, Taylor is joining the Navy because she says she wants to serve her country.
