Augusta Mayor Hardie Davis says he feels fortunate that Augusta is not going through the same problems as Baltimore.
The rioting and looting in the city has forced Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake to put the city on a curfew.
Mayor Davis says he sympathizes with Mayor Blake and what she is going through. He says, she has done a wonderful job leading the city.
“I do sympathize with what’s going on in Baltimore, Mayor Blake has done a fantastic job in leading this effort, I think when you look at the fact that she responded very quickly,” Davis said.
He says that other cities can learn from what is happening in the Baltimore.
Mayor Davis says he’s confident in Sheriff Roundtree and the Sheriff’s Office. He trusts how they run their agency.
