BALL GROUND, Ga. (AP) – Authorities say a man has died after his SUV rolled down an embankment in Cherokee County.

County sheriff’s Lt. Jay Baker tells the Atlanta-Journal Constitution 28-year-old James Padgett Jr. of Ball Ground was killed when his Jeep slid down a 200-foot embankment in the McGraw Ford Wildlife Management Area early Wednesday morning.

Authorities say Padgett’s car stalled on the Hill and two of his family members were able to get out.

Baker says Padgett restarted his car and it slid sideways while he was trying to gain momentum to climb the hill.
