Tropical Storm Bill, the second named storm of the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season, is heading toward the Texas coastline.
Bill is expected to maintain tropical storm status as it makes landfall sometime Tuesday. Voluntary evacuations are in effect for several coastal communities and barrier islands. Gusty winds and squally weather will begin Tuesday morning as the system makes landfall.
The main threat from Bill will be heavy rain. Some parts of Texas could pick up 6-8″ of rain. Isolated spots could approach a foot. This will reignite the flood threat.
