#UPDATED ON 6: Victim In Deadly Aiken County Crash Identified

***UPDATED at 5:57 P.M. on Friday, June 19th***

Aiken County, SC – We now know the name of the driver who was killed in a Friday morning crash in Aiken County.

Aiken County coroner Tim Carlton has identified the driver as 57-year-old Deborah Greer, of Aiken.

Carlton tells us, Greer was the driver of a 2002 Honda Accord involved in a two-vehicle crash that happened at the intersection of Charleston Highway (U.S. Highway 78) and Airco Boulevard, near Montmorenci around 9:00 a.m. Friday morning.

Greer was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office are investigating the crash. Toxicology results are pending.

Carlton says Green died from multiple body trauma.

Aiken County, SC – We have learned more information on a deadly crash that happened Friday morning in Aiken County.

A South Carolina Highway Patrol spokesperson tells us a 2003 GMC pickup truck that was pulling a trailer was traveling east on Charleston Highway (U.S. Highway 78), The truck was being driven by Jane McDonald.

A 2002 Honda Accord was traveling west on Charleston Highway. The Honda apparently ran off the right side of the roadway, came back onto the roadway, crossed the center line and was struck by the pickup truck.

The driver of the Honda was killed in the crash, and has not been identified, at this time.

Aiken County, SC – An Aiken County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson has confirmed 1 death in a crash in Aiken County.

Captain Eric Abdullah tells us that the crash happened after 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of Charleston Highway (U.S. Highway 78) and Airco Boulevard, near Montmorenci.

There was more than one vehicle involved.

Details are limited, at this time, and the victim has not been identified.
