EVANS, Ga.- Columbia County taxpayers met Monday evening to express their concerns with the Riverwatch Parkway Expansion Project.
At the meeting, residents spoke about the possible traffic increase on Old Petersburg Road and the damage to their properties because of construction.
Organizer Lori Greenhill says they just want one thing, “We just want answers. And sometimes we need help and this is what I’ve told the DOT. When we call you we are not complaining we’re asking you for help we’re asking you to put your heads together with ours to come up with a solution.”
The group says they are trying to reach out to Congressman Rick Allen to see if he can help get answers from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
The group will meet again on August 24th.
