Family Dollar Armed Robbery Suspect Wanted

***UPDATE: 11:50 a.m. Thursday July 23, 2015***

Augusta, GA – Investigators with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking to question Quanzi Lamonte Holmes in connection with an armed robbery.  Holmes is believed to be involved in the robbery of the Family Dollar on Broad Street. According to authorities, Holmes entered the store carrying a black handgun and removed money from the register.

Holmes is believed to be homeless and staying in the Harrisburg area of Augusta. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Holmes, please call the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1025.

Officials say this man attempted to rob the Family Dollar on Broad Street just after 6 pm this evening.

Police say he showed his handgun and demanded cash the cashier.

The suspect ran away on foot in the direction of Olmstead Homes.

He was wearing a Boston Celtics hat,a black shirt and is 6 feet tall.
