Augusta, GA. — The 2014 San Francisco Giants’ World Series trophy continues to make its rounds to San Francisco’s minor league affiliates with a stop in Augusta planned for Thursday evening. For the third time in five seasons, the Giants won the World Series, so the trophy will be on display for fans to see and have their photo taken with during the GreenJackets game with the Greenville Drive.
First pitch is 7:05 p.m. Thursday night.

The Augusta GreenJackets Single “A” affiliate of the 2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants are excited to announce the appearance of the 2014 World Series Trophy to Lake Olmstead Stadium as a part of the festivities on Thursday, July 23rd. The Augusta GreenJackets will be hosting the Greenville Drive (Boston Red Sox) with a 7:05pm first pitch. Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to take pictures with the trophy during the game.
“This is such an honor for our organization, the fans and the community to have the World Series Trophy here in Augusta,” said General Manager Tom Denlinger, “The San Francisco Giants are a first class organization and we are excited to offer this once in a lifetime experience here at Lake Olmstead Stadium.”
In addition to the appearance from the World Series Trophy, the GreenJackets will be celebrating National Hot Dog Day with $1 Carolina Pride hot dogs throughout the game. As is with every Thursday home game, July 23rd will be a Thirsty Thursday, presented by Twin Peaks Restaurant and The Country Club Dance Hall and Saloon, where guests can enjoy $1 draft beers and Coca Cola fountain sodas. After the game, guests can end the night at the SweetWater Draft House with the next installment of the SweetWater Post-game Concert Series, featuring Pretty Petty.
