Augusta, GA – New efforts are underway to block a Storm Water Utility Fee in Augusta

Former Commissioner Moses Todd is an outspoken critic of the fee.

He is leading a group that is gathering signatures that would place fee on the ballot, it would have to be approved or by voters.

“”If we can get 12,000 signatures and force it on the ballot and that’s through a petition and that’s what we are going to do at this time were buying media were starting a media campaign to let folks know,” says Todd.

As we told you Wednesday, some are planning to oppose the storm water fee by campaigning against extending the sales tax. Todd remains in favor of the SPLOST, but not the Storm Water Utility Fee.
