ATLANTA — Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has been uninvited to a conservative event in Atlanta after comments about Fox News debate moderator Megyn Kelly following Thursday night’s GOP debate, according to ABC News.
During an interview on CNN Friday, Trump said, “There was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.” Saturday Trump clarified the comment, saying he was referring to Kelly’s nose.
Trump was to appear at the RedState gathering on Saturday, but RedState’s Erick Erickson rescinded the invitation late Friday night saying, “I just don’t want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply that it was hormonal.”
Trump’s campaign responded Saturday by saying, “Not only is Erick a total loser, he has a history of supporting establishment losers in failed campaigns so it is an honor to be uninvited from his event.”
Four other GOP candidates are slated to appear at the event on Saturday, while four others addressed the gathering on Friday.
