Allendale Man Facing Attempted Murder Charge

Allendale County, SC – South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) agents have arrested an Allendale man and charged him with Attempted Murder.

Evan Wilson Cave, 21, of the 200 block of Butler Street in Allendale, was arrested Friday in connection to a shooting that happened on Thursday, June 25th. One person was injured in that shooting.

The Attempted Murder charge is a felony that carries a penalty of up to 30 years in prison without the possibility of probation or suspension if Cave is convicted.

Cave was also charged with Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, which carries a penalty upon conviction of five years in prison in addition to the punishment for the principal crime.

Cave was booked at the Allendale County Detention Center.

The case was investigated by SLED at the request of the Fairfax Police Department. The case will be prosecuted by the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
