MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP) – Authorities say there have been 14 drive-by shootings in Milledgeville — a town of fewer than 20,000 people — and surrounding areas of Baldwin County since mid-July.
Milledgeville Police Maj. John Davis said the latest shootings happened Friday night, when two vehicles were struck; and Sunday night, when several bullet holes riddled a home. No one was hurt in those cases.
WMAZ-TV reports that two people were injured in the earlier shootings.
No arrests directly related to any of the shootings have been reported.
Milledgeville, about 90 miles southeast of Atlanta, is a city of about 18,000 people in a county of around 46,000, according to 2010 Census figures.
