Augusta, GA – IRONMAN® and UnitedHeathcare are bringing the 1st IRONKIDS® to Augusta, according to Augusta Sports Council officials.
The kid’s fun run will be held Saturday, September 26th before the IRONMAN® 70.3® Augusta. The race will start at the Augusta Convention Center, which is located at 901 Reynolds Street.
The one-mile and quarter-mile IRONKIDS® is described as being a fun run by officials, which gives kids the opportunity to race like their parents while also getting the community involved in a healthy lifestyle.
“IRONKIDS® is a great opportunity for the local youth to feel the excitement of completion while bringing a family friendly atmosphere to race weekend,” said Mandy Irizarry, Athlete Development Coordinator for IRONKIDS®.
The race entry is $15 and is geared towards kids between the ages of 3-14 and is also open to adaptive athletes. Each athlete will receive a race bib, finisher shirt or trucker hat, medal, goodie bag, and the pride of calling themselves an IRONKID!
