The first college football AP Poll was released Sunday afternoon and the local teams are well represented. Georgia begins the season ranked ninth, Clemson is 12th and Georgia Tech is slotted 16th.

It comes as no surprise to see defending national champion Ohio State ranked number one in the poll. TCU is ranked second and Alabama third.
