Georgia Man Pleads Guilty to Stealing Turtle Eggs

A Brunswick, Georgia man has plead guilty to stealing sea turtle eggs, 2 years after serving time for the same crime. The U.S.District Court says Lewis Jackson, 60 admits to taking the eggs of a loggerhead turtle.

The species is currently considered threatened.

He was arrested last month with a cooler filled with eggs, with the intent to sell them.

They have an estimated value of $350 on the black market.

Jackson now faces up to 5 years in prison.
