Sole Survivor Of Deadly On-Air Shooting Released From Hospital

Roanoke, VA – The woman who survived a deadly on-air shooting that killed two TV journalists has been released from the hospital.

Vicki Gardner was released Tuesday morning.

Gardner was answering questions about the community on live TV when gunfire erupted on August 26th.

The gunman, Vester Lee Flanagan II, ambushed WDBJ-TV cameraman Adam Ward and reporter Alison Parker during the interview.

Parker and Ward died of gunshot wounds to the head and body. Flanagan shot and killed himself after a police chase.
