Augusta, GA – This is not surprising for the Augusta Animal Shelter. You get a bunch of dogs together and you will hear a lot of it, but one bark sounded the alarm.
“I tried to get some other of my other employees to come back to see if they heard what I heard,” said kennel worker Kenneth Weathersbee. “You didn’t believe it yourself?” we asked.
What they heard was a little guy named Scooby who, for the last month, has been barking for help.
“When I heard him barking, [I] turned around and looked to see if somebody was behind me I walked back to see him barking it out,” said Weathersbee.
So, little Scooby can bark talk. His bow wow is like, wow, it sounds like a call for help. And, he has all the answers.
Let’s put Scooby to the test. “Scooby, Timmy is playing around the well, falls in, what do you do?” Scooby barked back, “help, help, help.”
Well, that’s sort if in a dog’s wheelhouse. Let’s try another.
“Okay, Scooby. This will be harder trivia. National League RBI leader, 50 years ago? Scooby you can answer, or do you want to use that lifeline?”
“Help, Help,” barked Scooby.
“Your favorite Beatles movie.”
“Help “barked Scooby.
Scooby’s a big football fan. He surprisingly doesn’t like the Bulldogs, but he knows Spurrier needs this. “Help Help, Help,” woofed Scooby.
Scooby is really into local politics. “What about the Augusta Commission, what do they need?”
“Help, help, help,” barked Scooby.
“Scooby, there’s a lot of rain the forecast, what should George Myers call for?”
“Help, help, Help,” said Scooby.
Now, Scooby is here in doggie detention, but he would love to get a real home. He can’t do it alone he needs your…
Help, help,” he barked.
Scooby is a bit of a worry wart.
