(Augusta,GA) Augusta is looking to make a big splash downtown.
Augusta fountains are being renovated by the Utilities Department.
One at James Brown Boulevard and Broad Street has already been modified, so where the water shoots from one fountain to the other over the heads of pedestrian.
Utilities department Employee Steve Orton has been give the go-ahead to make the fountains downtown dance.
“We’re tried to make some enhancements we’ve been working on the pumps and the electrical controls get them all back into service Steve Orton is trying out some new stuff some flow nozzles and screens where you can project images and videos on them where going to see how it works,” says Utilities Department Director Tom Wiedmeier.
In all, the department is looking at renovating 25 different fountains.
No word on how much they’ll cost, but Wiedmeier says it won’t be a huge bill for the
