Suspect In Thomson Teen’s Murder Identified

Thomson, GA – The suspect in a Thomson teen’s murder has now been identified.

According to Steve Foster, Assistant Special Agent in charge with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the suspect in the murder of 16-year-old Satrevian Tydarius Cartledge that happened Monday night on Gus Street, in Thomson, has been identified as 21-year-old Quanterius Hampton.

According to Foster, an arrest warrant has been issued for Hampton on a charge of murder.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. Monday night, the GBI was requested to assist the Thomson Police Department (TPD) with a homicide investigation that occurred at a residence in the 400 block of Gus Street. At approximately 10:30 p.m, TPD officers with were dispatched to the Gus Street residence in reference to a person being shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Cartledge had been shot. He was transported to University Hospital McDuffie in Thomson where he was pronounced dead.

Cartledge’s body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur, Georgia where an autopsy will be performed at a later time.

The GBI is asking for help from the public in locating Hampton. Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Hampton is asked to call the Thomson Police Department at 706-595-2166, the GBI at 706-595-2575, or McDuffie County 911.

Thomson, GA – According to Sandy Yeltin, the Deputy Coroner of Warren County, the victim is identified as 16-year-old Sandravian Cartledge.

The shooting happened at his residence, 406 Gus Street in Thomson, Georgia.

Cartledge was taken to a landing zone and airlifted to University Hospital McDuffie where he was pronounced dead.

Thomson, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirms it is assisting the Thomson Police Department in investigating a deadly shooting.

It happened on Gus Street in Thomson Monday night.

The GBI confirms the victim is a teenager.
