Columbia, SC – The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has been called to investigate a Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
According to a news release, Sheriff Tony Davis says SLED was called in to investigate “questionable actions” by a deputy.
Sheriff Davis adds that “while [he] has been Sheriff, [his] protocol has been to call SLED anytime allegations surface about one of [his] employees.”
Davis says the investigation stems from information that he has received.
The deputy has been placed on administrative leave until the investigation is complete. The deputy’s name has not been release, at this time.
