SLED Investigating Deadly Shooting In Bamberg

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting at Heritage Apartments.

Bamberg, SC (AP) – The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is investigating a weekend shooting that killed a Bamberg man.

Bamberg County Coroner Billy Duncan told The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg that 25-year-old Travis Anderson was shot and killed in his home Saturday night.

The Bamberg Police Department has turned the investigation over to SLED.

Bamberg Police Chief George Morris says four people were hurt Saturday morning during shooting at a pool hall in town, but he doesn’t think the two shootings are related.
