Augusta, GA – After information came to light last week that Paine College is having trouble meeting its payroll, now the college is asking for financial help from the community.
Paine College is now asking for help to “Build It Back”.
According to a release, “Paine College has made significant contributions to the Augusta community for more than 134 years. The College has educated thousands of productive, contributing citizens who have devoted their time and talents to the local community, the state of Georgia, and the country. Paine College now needs your help to ‘Build it Back’. We are calling on Augusta’s local residents, faith-based, business and corporate communities to support Paine College as it faces tremendous financial challenges as we work towards long-term sustainability. Let’s work together to ensure that Paine College remains a major contributor to the culture and economy of the Augusta area, the State of Georgia, and beyond.
The college is aksing folks to join them on Tuesday, November 10th at Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel to make a gift in support of Paine College.
