Charleston, SC – According to a release from his campaign office, Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders will appear at a town hall meeting in Aiken, South Carolina Saturday evening.

Sanders will speak at the University of South Carolina Aiken Convocation Center at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

According to the release:

The Aiken town hall will be the third public event on Sanders’ two-day swing through the Palmetto state. Sanders will appear at “The First in the South Presidential Candidates Forum” hosted by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on Friday, and deliver the keynote address to the Southern Region of the National Federation of Democratic Women in Rock Hill on Saturday morning.

“We’re looking forward to a great turnout in Aiken on Saturday,” Christopher Covert, who is Sanders’ South Carolina director, said Tuesday. “Momentum is building for the campaign across the state, and our town hall will give South Carolinans an opportunity to hear Sen. Sanders’ powerful message.”
